Hatzolah's Johannesburg team was first launched in 1998 to assist existing medical emergency services in the area, which are under enormous strain. The organisation is staffed by a group of Torah-observant, Jewish volunteers and is a free service to all Jewish people within our operating areas.
The Hatzolah website is a fully integrated donation system. Users can donate by sending a once off donation or by sending their family and friends a fully customised themed e-card. It is not always easy to find the right type of blood and some people have more rare blood types than others. Users have the option to save their blood type on the system helping to build a comprehensive database should the need arise.
